SPP 2026: Geometrie im Unendlichen

Im Schwerpunktprogramm SSP 2026 betreut Prof. Uwe Semmelmann das Projekt 15 "Spaces and Moduli Spaces of Riemannian Metrics with Curvature Bounds on compact and non-compact Manifolds".

Das Projekt umfasst drei Themenfelder:

  • The space of positive scalar curvature metrics
  • Fiber bundles with geometric structures and spaces of Riemannian metrics
  • Moduli spaces for nonnegative sectional and positive Ricci curvature

DFG-Projekt SE 933/5-1: Starrheit, Stabiliät und Deformation in der nearly-parallelen G2 Geometrie

  • Principal Investigator: Prof. Uwe Semmelmann
  • Projektzeitraum:  15.07.2020 bis 14.07.2023
  • Projektbeschreibung: Dieses Projekt studiert verschiedene Probleme im Rahmen der nearly G2 Geometrie. Hierbei sind drei Hauptrichtungen vorgeschlagen. Als erstes soll die Stabilität von nearly G2 Metriken im Raum der Einstein-Metriken untersucht werden. Dann geht es darum zu entscheiden, ob nearly G2-Strukturen starr sind. Das soll insbesondere die Entwicklung einer Deformationstheorie für die zweite Einstein-Metrik auf 3-Sasaki Mannigfaltigkeiten beinhalten. Schließlich sich die Existenz von Deformationen von assoziativen  Untermannigfaltigkeiten in der nearly G2-Geometrie studiert werden.
